General Foreman

My client is a Tier 1 Contractor.

They are about to commence work on a major Civil Engineering Project in the Oxford area.

The project is valued at circa 200m and has an estimated duration of 18 months.

There will be ample opportunity for overtime working and nights on this project.

Working alongside the Project Manager, you will be required to make decisions, motivate the team and drive the project towards a timely and profitable finish.

Accommodation (lodge) is available for those residing beyond a reasonable daily commute of the project.

Duties include:

• Ordering plant, labour and materials
• Leading toolbox talks, daily briefings and site inductions
• Working with the Site Agent and commercial team to raise early warning notices
• Promote the highest levels of health and safety on site
• Liaise with stakeholders on public facing projects
• Ensure your work force is working safely, effectively and efficiently
• Reading drawings with the site engineer to coordinate gangs and overcome design difficulties
• Ensure risk assessments and method statements and being adhered to
