AutoCAD Technician - Bradford Revit Training Provided BIM Progression

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Bradford-based Building Services Consultancy specialising in low-carbon and sustainable mechanical & electrical design. The business delivers projects across sectors including healthcare, education, and refurbishment/development.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD Technician with strong AutoCAD experience who is looking to develop their skills within a supportive consultancy environment. The successful candidate will receive structured mentoring and training in Revit from the company s dedicated CAD/Revit Manager, providing a clear pathway into BIM-based project delivery.

The Role You will support the engineering team in producing accurate technical drawings and coordinated layouts across a range of building services projects. Working closely with engineers and designers, you will play an important role in project delivery while developing your Revit and BIM capability.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Producing and revising 2D AutoCAD drawings for mechanical and electrical building services installations
  • Assisting with services coordination layouts and technical detailing
  • Supporting engineers with drawing updates and project documentation
  • Liaising with internal design teams to maintain drawing accuracy and coordination
  • Managing drawing revisions in line with project requirements
  • Developing Revit capability through structured mentoring and training
  • Supporting the development of drawing standards and BIM workflows

What They re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years AutoCAD experience within engineering, construction, or building services design
  • Strong motivation to learn Revit (training provided)
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to drawing production
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary design team
  • Interest in developing a long-term career within Building Services and BIM environments
  • HNC / ONC (or similar) in Engineering, Building Services, Construction, or related discipline (desirable, not essential)
