Job Description: We at Northbuild Recruitment are currently seeking to fill the below role for Groundworkers to complete Plot Foundation works on a Large Civils Project in Manchester, We are seeking an experienced Groundworks Foreman / Working Foreman with a strong Civil Engineering background to join our growing Plant Hire and Civil Engineering team. This is a hands-on role requiring a motivated individual who can lead site operations while actively participating in groundworks and civil engineering activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising operatives, coordinating plant and labour resources, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead groundworks and civil engineering teams on site. Work alongside site operatives as a hands-on Working Foreman. Plan and coordinate daily site activities, labour, plant, and materials. Ensure all works are completed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and programme requirements. Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance. Liaise with Site Managers, Engineers, clients, and subcontractors. Requirements Proven experience as a Groundworks Foreman or Working Foreman. Strong background in Civil Engineering and Groundworks projects. Experience managing groundworkers, plant operators, and subcontractors. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations. Valid CSCS Card (essential). SSSTS or SMSTS qualification (essential). CPCS/NPORS qualifications advantageous. Full UK Driving Licence. Drainage works. Foundations and concrete structures. Roads and infrastructure projects. Utilities and associated civil engineering works. Experience working within a Plant Hire Contractor environment. CSCS Carded Skilled Labourer required to start on a New Build Housing Site in Congleton (CW12). Along with all the General Labouring duties, you will also be carrying out the Pre-Plasters on the New Build plots. CPCS/NPORS Carded Dozer Driver required for a large civil engineering scheme in HU17 Beverley. Must hold valid CPCS/NPORS Card for Dozer, have relevant operating experience and be able to provide previous work references. MUST have experience in using LEICA GPS system when operating Dozer. Main duties will involve operating D6 Dozer performing digging and earth moving tasks as directed. 45-50 hours per week over Monday to Friday with possible overtime opportunities. Key Responsibilities Laying pipes, manholes, chambers, and associated infrastructure. Trenching, excavation, and backfilling works. Reading and working from site drawings and levels. Operating alongside plant and ensuring safe working practices. Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site. Requirements Proven experience in drainage and groundwork. Ability to work from drawings and site plans. Valid CSCS Card (essential). CPCS or NPORS plant tickets are advantageous.

We are looking for an experienced ADT (Articulated Dump Truck) Driver to join our team working on a busy New Build site. Key Responsibilities: Safely operate the articulated dump truck. Transport materials efficiently around site. Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects. Follow all site health and safety procedures. Work closely with site supervisors and other plant operators. Requirements: Proven experience operating an ADT in a similar environment. Valid CPCS or NPORS ADT qualification.
