We are working with a well-established and reputable contractor who is looking to recruit an Assistant Site Manager to support the delivery of projects across the Highlands and Moray.

The Role
As Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of construction sites, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
This is a hands-on role, offering exposure to all aspects of site management and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Assist with the day-to-day management of site operations
Support the coordination of subcontractors, trades, and site labour
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, including site inductions and toolbox talks
Monitor progress on site and report updates to the Site Manager
Assist in coordinating materials, plant, and deliveries
Maintain site documentation including RAMS, site diaries, and quality records
Support in conducting site inspections and snagging
Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams where required
Help ensure works are delivered in line with programme and quality expectations

About You
Previous experience in a construction environment
Strong interest in progressing a career within site management
Good understanding of construction processes and site operations
Knowledge of health & safety requirements on site
Strong communication and organisational skills
Proactive, reliable, and keen to learn

Qualifications & Certifications
SMSTS or SSSTS (preferred)
CSCS Card (essential)
First Aid (desirable)
Relevant construction qualification (HNC/HND or similar - desirable)
