Job Description

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Production Planner with experience in the windows and doors industry, ideally with Logikal and AutoCAD experience. The ideal candidate will be a fabricator with office experience, skilled in order processing, estimating, and production planning, and with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. You will coordinate production schedules, manage workflow, and liaise with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of bespoke windows and doors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule production for steel, aluminium, or uPVC windows and doors in line with customer orders.

  • Use Logikal and AutoCAD software to input, monitor, and manage order specifications, materials, and production timelines.

  • Liaise with Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure accurate order requirements and efficient workflow.

  • Monitor stock levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods; coordinate replenishment where necessary.

  • Identify potential production bottlenecks and implement solutions to avoid delays.

  • Ensure production plans meet deadlines, quality standards, and customer requirements.

  • Provide regular updates to management on production status, capacity, and resource planning.

  • Maintain accurate production records and reporting for management review.

  • Assist in estimating costs and lead times for new projects and bespoke orders.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in production planning within the windows and doors manufacturing industry.

  • Hands-on experience with Logikal software and AutoCAD for technical drawings and production planning.

  • Previous experience as a fabricator with exposure to office processes, including order processing and estimating.

  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across multiple departments.

  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.

  • Ability to analyse production data and implement improvements.

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes for steel, aluminium, or uPVC windows and doors.
