Technical Manager

GVR Solutions are currently working with a leading specialist façades contractor based in Hertfordshire who are looking to appoint an experienced Technical Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong reputation in the façades sector and a growing portfolio of high-profile projects.

As Technical Manager, you will take responsibility for leading the technical and design aspects of façade projects from pre-construction through to delivery. You will work closely with internal teams, clients, architects, and consultants to ensure all designs are compliant, coordinated, and delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Technical Manager:

• Lead and manage the design process across multiple façade projects
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and subcontractors
• Oversee design development from concept through to installation
• Ensure compliance with UK building regulations and industry standards
• Manage and mentor design teams
• Review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations
• Support project teams with technical guidance throughout delivery

Requirements of the Technical Manager:

• Proven experience in a Technical Manager or Senior Design role within façades
• Strong knowledge of cladding, curtain walling, and glazing systems
• Excellent understanding of UK building regulations and compliance
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
