Job Description

The Role:
A delivery-focused Architectural Designer role within a commercial interiors contractor, supporting projects from technical design through to completion on site.

This position is firmly centred on the detail, coordination and buildability side of design - producing robust drawing packages, ensuring compliance, and working closely with delivery teams to bring schemes to life.

Alongside this, there is also involvement in smaller Design & Build pitches, supporting and presenting design solutions as part of the work-winning process.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Design & Delivery
  • Develop and coordinate design solutions across RIBA Stages 2 5
  • Produce and manage detailed construction drawing packages
  • Ensure designs are fully coordinated, compliant and buildable
  • Work closely with project and site teams to ensure successful delivery on site
  • Monitor design implementation to maintain quality and consistency
Client & Pitch Involvement
  • Attend and contribute to client meetings and presentations
  • Support and occasionally lead smaller D&B pitches
  • Translate client requirements into clear, deliverable design solutions
  • Present ideas confidently, with a strong understanding of buildability and cost
Coordination & Compliance
  • Coordinate with consultants, suppliers and internal teams
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations and CDM requirements
  • Support continuous improvement of design standards and internal processes

About You:
  • Fully qualified Architect (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years minimum experience within commercial interiors / workplace sector
  • Strong technical ability with a track record of delivering construction-ready information
  • Experience working within a contractor or Design & Build environment
  • Experienced in pitching / presenting design solutions
  • Commercially aware with a clear understanding of buildability and delivery constraints
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with both clients and site teams

Software:
  • AutoCAD high proficiency (essential)
  • Revit high proficiency (essential)
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Hand sketching (beneficial)
