This is a role for someone who enjoys turning ideas into deliverable workplace environments. Working within an established Design & Build business, you'll play a key role in developing workplace fit-out schemes from early-stage concepts through to detailed technical design, supporting both live projects and competitive tenders. Whilst there is a creative element to the position, the focus is very much on producing accurate design information, developing layouts, coordinating drawings and ensuring schemes are practical, compliant and ready for delivery. A Design Manager opportunity working on a complex commercial Cut & Carve project, taking ownership of key design packages from pre-construction through to completion. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being close to delivery, coordinating consultants and subcontractors, solving technical challenges, and ensuring design information is aligned with programme, procurement, and construction requirements. Working alongside an experienced Senior Design Manager initially, you'll take responsibility for defined workstreams and design packages, with a clear pathway towards operating as a fully autonomous Design Manager on future schemes. This is a role that sits at the heart of the process. Not purely estimating. Not purely coordination. You ll work closely with the Head of Furniture, suppliers and project teams to help manage cost plans, proposals, purchase orders, lead times and installation logistics across multiple live projects.
