Yard Operative - Driver

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction company operating across Central London. They're looking for a reliable and experienced Van Driver who can also support operations in the yard when needed.

This role is ideal for a professional driver with a background in construction logistics, builders' merchants, or site support - someone confident driving in London, handling deliveries, and working with materials and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate a 3.5 tonne flatbed van to deliver materials, tools, and equipment to multiple sites across London
Load and unload deliveries, ensuring everything is secure and handled correctly
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections
Support the yard team with loading, organising stock, and keeping the area tidy
Help ensure that all health & safety procedures are followed on-site and in the yard
Communicate clearly with site managers and office staff regarding delivery schedules

What You'll Need:

Full UK Driving Licence (Category B) - Essential
Previous experience driving vans in London or within the construction/builders merchant sector
Confident with manual handling and lifting (this is a physical role)
Solid understanding of construction site logistics and materials
A reliable, punctual, and self-motivated attitude
Good knowledge of safe loading practices and vehicle checks
