Principal Registered Building Inspector

Company Overview

- A leading Local Authority based in Essex who are after a Principal RBI to help oversee the team

Role Overview
- An RBI position covering the Council's area on an initial 3 month contract basis with a high view to extend
- Offering site inspection and plan checks
- Full time (37 hours a week)
- Up to 85 per hour ( 7793 take home per month after all tax and deductions)

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out site inspections and plan checking (min 2 days on site per week)

• Attend to dangerous structures

• Carry out enforcement of The Building Regulations and Building Act as necessary

• Supervise senior, junior surveyors and admin staff

• Deputise for the Building Control Manager when required

• Assist the Building Control Manager in the implementation of the BSR operational Standards

• Assist the Building Control Manager in procedural changes to the service

• Plan checking

Requirements:
(Qualifications/ Skills & Experience)

• Professional qualifications by one the chartered institutes with a specialism in Building Control

• Minimum Class 2F Registration and Chartered with CIOB/ RICS/ CABE
