Lettings Negotiator

An established, friendly and successful private London-based property investment and development company that owns and manages a substantial commercial and residential portfolio of more than 800 properties, with a focus on Central London and selected regions throughout the UK. The role involves working with a small and friendly residential team jointly responsible for the management of approximately 600 residential properties.

The role is office-based and includes travel in and around London with the following primary responsibilities:

• Conducting viewings and negotiating offers on the residential portfolio.
• Working with external letting agencies on properties in and outside of London.
• Supporting the line manager in instructing external contractors to undertake refurbishment works where required.
• Collating tenant referencing and ensuring letting compliance is adhered to, including Right to Rent checks and tenancy deposit scheme requirements.
• Day-to-day property management, including dealing with tenant queries and organising repairs.
• Attending weekly meetings with the marketing team regarding advertising and promotion of available properties.
• Responding to daily email and telephone enquiries.
• Conducting property check-outs and negotiating deposit deductions where required.
• Ensuring the swift return of tenant deposits.

• Strong understanding of residential lettings and property management within London.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a positive attitude.
• Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding compliance matters.
• Ability to resolve queries and issues with positive outcomes.
• Capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Keen to grow within the role, learn and develop professionally.
• Motivated and a genuine team player.
