We are looking for an established, reliable 3-man Groundworks Gang to join a high-profile civil engineering scheme in the Carlisle area. This project involves complex infrastructure works, including deep drainage, structural concrete (FRC), and high-spec finishing.
We are ideally looking for a "ready-to-go" gang who have worked together previously and can hit the ground running on a fast-paced Tier 1 site.
Ganger / Working Lead:
Must hold SSSTS and First Aid at Work.
Proven ability to read drawings, manage site permits, and lead a team safely.
360 Excavator Operator (Above 10t):
Must hold CPCS Blue Card with Lifting Operations.
GPS Experience (Trimble/Topcon) is highly desirable for precision earthworks.
Skilled Groundworker:
Must hold CSCS Skilled Worker card.
Expertise in deep drainage, pipe-laying, and FRC (formwork/reinforcement) is essential.
Dumper/Roller tickets are a significant advantage.
Vetting: All members must possess a valid Safety Critical Medical.
Experience: Proven track record in heavy civils or highways infrastructure (references will be required).
Compliance: Full PPE and a proactive attitude toward site safety protocols.
Logistics: Ideally local to Carlisle or the Cumbria region for a reliable commute.
Stable Work: Long-term project pipeline with a leading regional contractor.
Competitive Pay: High hourly rates paid via CIS.
Professional Site: Work on a well-managed, safety-first infrastructure project.
