Job Description

Barker Ross are currently recruiting for 2 x Experienced Painters to work at a manufacturing facility in Heanor (DE75).

Barker Ross are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering company specialising in the fabrication and processing of steelwork. They are looking for two reliable and experienced painters to join their team on a short-term project lasting approximately 3 weeks, with immediate starts available.

This role will involve working within a busy factory environment preparing and painting fabricated steel components to a high standard.

Job Details

  • Location: Heanor, DE75
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 3 weeks initially
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • Pay Rate: 18.50 - 20.00 per hour

Duties will include:

  • Preparing steelwork for painting, including cleaning and surface preparation
  • Applying industrial paint coatings to fabricated steel components
  • Ensuring a high-quality finish is maintained
  • Following site health and safety procedures at all times
  • Keeping work areas clean and organised

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience painting steelwork or within an industrial/manufacturing environment
  • Good attention to detail and pride in producing quality work
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A strong work ethic and reliability
