Role: Supporting the Quantity Surveying team

Location: Erdington

Salary: Circa £35,000 per annum

Reed Property & Construction are working with a leading contractor that specialises in the retail building sector.

This company prides itself on it's client service, their market expertise and the stability of their staff.

Key Responsibilities

Tender Support:

  • Issue contractor tender packages
  • Chase tender returns and maintain deadlines
  • Check tendered rates against framework agreements
  • Assist with tender comparisons and recommendation reports

Invoice & Commercial Administration:

  • Process contractor invoices and verify against orders
  • Confirm completion of works
  • Prepare payment notifications and send to Client
  • Log, file, and track invoices for reimbursement
  • Manage and respond to Client queries

Framework Support:

  • Assist with annual National & Regional Framework tenders
  • Monitor progress and report to Commercial Director
  • Schedule meetings
  • Review tender comparisons for errors
  • Prepare final tender recommendation packs
  • Maintain framework registry

General Duties:

  • Provide administrative support to the Commercial Director and construction teams

Requirements

  • Will ideally have experience working for a construction contractor, main contractor or engineering consultancy
  • Must be a competent MS Excel user and can manage spreadsheets used for calculating invoices and recharges
  • Confident, focused, and self-motivated
  • High attention to detail (spelling, grammar & numerical accuracy)
  • Able to work independently and remotely
  • Strong initiative and proactive approach
  • Proficient in Windows & Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Teams)
