Job Description
A Mechanical QA/QC role in a UK-based Energy from Waste (EfW) new build project involves ensuring mechanical systems meet quality and safety standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Quality Assurance: Overseeing mechanical equipment installation and implementing quality processes
- Compliance: Ensuring adherence to UK regulations (e.g., Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000, Machinery Directive)
- Inspection and Testing: Conducting inspections and tests on mechanical systems (e.g., piping, HVAC, pumps)
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate project documentation, including test records and inspection reports
- Collaboration: Working with engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure quality and timely delivery
Typically requires:
- Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of UK mechanical regulations and standards
- Experience with mechanical installation, testing, and commissioning
