Freelance Quantity Surveyor

We are currently working with a leading developer looking for a Freelance Quantity Surveyor to support with package management and final accounts on a 1,000 Unit New Build Residential scheme in SE London.

• Oversee package procurement from tender through to final account

• Manage subcontractor valuations, variations and cost reporting

• Lead on final accounts and commercial close-out of multiple work packages

• Monitor project budgets and provide accurate financial forecasting

• Identify and mitigate commercial risks across the scheme

• Work closely with project managers, site teams and senior commercial staff

• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and developer procedures

• Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives

• Prepare and present detailed cost reports to internal stakeholders

Requirements:

• Proven experience working on large-scale residential developments

• Strong background in package management and final accounts

• Developer or main contractor experience preferred

• Ability to manage multiple packages concurrently

• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills

• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent

Candidates must be happy be paid via an Umbrella company INSIDE IR35.
