Job Title: Retrofit Assessor

Location: North London

Rate: 300 - 500 per day (based on a rate of 100 per assessment), plus available expenses

IR35 Determination: Outside of scope

Contract Length: Long-term, ongoing contract

The Role:

Are you a freelance Retrofit Assessor looking for a long-term contract that offers genuine longevity and stability? We have an excellent ongoing opportunity available for an experienced professional to oversee a diverse portfolio of council properties across the North London area.

A major selling point of this contract is the variety of the workload, as you will be conducting assessments on a balanced mixture of both residential and commercial public landlord type properties.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive retrofit assessments on properties and identifying areas for energy efficiency improvements.
• Evaluating the exterior and interior condition of properties, including assessing insulation, heating systems, and other energy-related features.
• Recording accurate data regarding property condition, occupancy, and ventilation.
• Providing actionable recommendations for retrofit measures and compiling the necessary documents used in the retrofit coordination process.
• Managing your own workload independently and ensuring the timely submission of assessment reports.

About You:

• You must hold a Level 3 Retrofit Assessor qualification.
• You will possess a strong, up-to-date understanding of PAS2035:2023 regulations.
• Ideally, you will have prior experience in ECO grant-funded projects, general surveying, or as a Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA).
• General experience within the field is highly preferred for the Level 3 Retrofit Assessor course requirements.
• This will be a fully independent and autonomous role, therefore you need to be highly experienced in working under your own initiative and must be confident in executing your own work schedules.
• You must provide your own reliable transportation to travel between varied sites across North London.
