The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee depot and traffic management operations in Gloucester. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high safety standards, and supporting the smooth delivery of works across multiple sites.

This position would suit a proactive and organised individual with strong supervisory experience within traffic management, who thrives in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Depot Manager in the day-to-day running of depot and traffic management operations
  • Assist with short- and long-term planning to ensure all sites are installed and maintained to required standards
  • Deputise for the Depot Manager during periods of absence
  • Conduct regular site visits, audits, and depot inspections to ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company standards, and customer KPIs
  • Lead, brief, and support operatives, ensuring full adherence to RAMS, SOPs, PPE requirements, and safe systems of work
  • Promote and embed a strong Health & Safety culture across all operations
  • Oversee vehicle and equipment checks, ensuring defects are reported and resolved promptly
  • Manage customer queries and complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolution
  • Monitor labour, plant, and depot performance to drive operational efficiency
  • Ensure accurate completion of all paperwork, digital records, and performance reporting
  • Participate in an out-of-hours rota to maintain 24/7 operational coverage
  • Support incident and near-miss reporting and investigations
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and complete ongoing CPD and required training

  • CSCS Card
  • Lantra 12D M1, M2, M3, M5 & M6
  • Full UK Driving Licence
