Quantity Surveyor

Well-established, small building contractor based in East London, delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across London and the surrounding areas require an experienced Quantity surveyor to join their team and play a key role in the commercial management of their projects.

Reporting to the Directors, you will take full commercial responsibility for 3-4 projects from pre-construction through to final account. This is a hands-on role offering real autonomy and the opportunity to influence commercial strategy within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities :

• Managing all commercial aspects of projects from tender to final account

• Preparing cost plans, budgets, and feasibility assessments

• Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and contract administration

• Valuations, variations, and interim applications for payment

• Cost reporting and cash flow forecasting

• Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and margin targets

• Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and project teams

You will be :

• Experienced as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least 4 years at Senior level

• Have experience working for a main contractor

• Strong knowledge of JCT contracts

• Proven experience managing projects independently

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills

• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred)

• RICS accreditation (desirable but not essential)
