Well-established, small building contractor based in East London, delivering high-quality residential and commercial projects across London and the surrounding areas require an experienced Quantity surveyor to join their team and play a key role in the commercial management of their projects. Reporting to the Directors, you will take full commercial responsibility for 3-4 projects from pre-construction through to final account. This is a hands-on role offering real autonomy and the opportunity to influence commercial strategy within a growing business. Key Responsibilities : Managing all commercial aspects of projects from tender to final account Preparing cost plans, budgets, and feasibility assessments Subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and contract administration Valuations, variations, and interim applications for payment Cost reporting and cash flow forecasting Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and margin targets Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and project teams You will be : Experienced as a Quantity Surveyor, with at least 4 years at Senior level Have experience working for a main contractor Strong knowledge of JCT contracts Proven experience managing projects independently Excellent negotiation and communication skills Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred) RICS accreditation (desirable but not essential)

Freelance Construction Manager Oxfordshire 900k Refurbishment We are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Construction Manager to deliver a 900k refurbishment project in Oxfordshire. The project involves the refurbishment of an existing clubhouse and is being delivered by a medium-sized London-based Design & Build contractor. The successful Construction Manager will take day-to-day responsibility for the project, managing the site from commencement through to completion in February. Projects typically range from £50k to £1m in value and can be a combination of fit-out ,refurbishment and minor new buildworks Primarily office based, with visits to site as and when needed, the role is client facing involves site set up through to delivery and handover . Candidate will have worked for reputable building contractors and ideally have experience of running multiple projects .

Well-established medium - sized building and construction company delivering high-quality refurbishment projects across the commercial and public sectors are looking for a Bid co-ordinator to help secure new work and support the continued growth of the business. The Role You will assist in the end-to-end bidding process, preparing high-quality submissions for a range of construction and building contracts typically up to 1m in value. This role would suit someone who is familiar with the construction sector , highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident working both independently and within a small team environment. Key Responsibilities Identify and assess new tender and bid opportunities Prepare, write, and manage high-quality PQQs, ITTs, and tender submissions Liaise with internal teams to gather technical, commercial, and financial information Ensure all bids are compliant, compelling, and submitted on time Develop and maintain bid libraries, templates, and case studies Review feedback from unsuccessful bids and implement improvements Manage tender portals and client communications during the bid process About You Experience as a Bid Co-ordinator or Estimator within construction or related sectors Strong written communication and editing skills Good understanding of construction terminology, processes, and procurement Highly organised with excellent time management skills Comfortable working in a small business environment and managing multiple deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Experience with public sector frameworks and portals (desirable but not essential)
