We're working with a well-established social housing provider in South Wales who are looking to appoint a Damp & Mould / Disrepair Surveyor to join their team. This permanent position offers hybrid working, combining home-based work with site visits across the local area, supporting the investigation and resolution of damp, mould, and property condition concerns.
This Damp & Mould / Disrepair Surveyor role is offering:
- Salary in the region of 42,000- 47,000 per annum, depending on experience.
- Permanent contract working 37 hours per week.

Key duties of the successful Damp & Mould / Disrepair Surveyor:
- Investigating reports of damp, mould and condensation within occupied homes.
- Undertaking disrepair inspections and preparing clear schedules of remedial works.
- Identifying root causes and specifying appropriate long-term solutions.
- Ensuring works comply with housing standards, HHSRS and relevant legislation.
- Working closely with contractors to monitor quality and progress of remedial works.
- Providing clear explanations and updates to residents throughout the process.
- Supporting complaint resolution and reducing repeat issues.
Skills needed for the Damp & Mould / Disrepair Surveyor position:
- Strong experience inspecting and diagnosing building defects.
- Practical understanding of damp, mould, condensation and ventilation issues.
- Ability to produce clear technical reports and schedules of works.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied caseload.
- Strong communication skills and a resident-focused approach.
Qualifications needed for the Damp & Mould / Disrepair Surveyor role:
- Relevant building, surveying or construction qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience working within social housing or a similar environment.
- Knowledge of housing standards and disrepair processes.
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
