Charge Hand- Handyman/Multi Trader- Aylesbury- Portakabin's
The work will be to supervise teams who are carrying out work on Portakabin's (Hire Division) and will also involve assisting with the tasks such as cleaning them up, repairing and all repairs to floors, walls, doors, roof, locks all fixed and all general repairs so candidates need to have a good all round knowledge
Other daily tasks will include to undertake and supervise the refurbishment, fit out and installation of Portakabin buildings through direct supervision of the labour and resources available ensuring effective cost controls at all times, to supervise and organise all labour resources, on and off site , Undertake in the installation/dismantling of all buildings, as part of a team, Assist where required in the general fitting out and refurbishment of Portakabin buildings both on and off site, responsibility for ensuring workmanship quality adheres to technical specifications in place and divisional standards, and to carry out toolbox talks where appropriate, with a particular reference to achieving a safe working environment.

Candidates will need to be will need to be comfortable with working at height and in confined spaces, as you could be working on roofs and assisting with craning activities both on and offsite. The confined spaces will involve bolting between buildings. All of which will be trained in
The Chargehand will be the supervisor in the yard which is based in Ayeslbury, however, this is for a working chargehand so will be times when you will be working. The rough spilt will be 70/30,
The base is in Aylresbury but they cover projects ranging from Swindon; West and Central London; Surrey and into Hampshire such as Southampton through to Chichester. The work is predominantly outside although the Chargehand will have access to a desk and a computer so must have some level of computer literacy
Hours of Work
39 hours per week, 0745 to 1630 hours Monday to Thursday and 0745 to 1530 hours on Fridays, with 45 mins for lunch each day (unpaid)
Additional Hours
Individuals will be as required to work additional hours to which overtime rates will apply

24 days plus Bank/Public Holidays and service days as applicable
