A well-regarded independent building contractor operating across London is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to take responsibility for a portfolio of live projects valued at around 2m.
Role Overview
This position will suit a senior construction professional who is confident in managing multiple commercial or refurbishment schemes from pre-start through to handover. You'll be the key point of contact across projects, ensuring standards, budgets, and programmes are consistently met.
Key Duties
- Oversee 3-4 live building projects simultaneously
- Maintain control of project budgets, programmes, and specifications
- Act as the main liaison between clients, consultants, and design teams
- Coordinate and lead site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Monitor procurement, cost reporting, and project progress
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual requirements
About You
- NVQ Level 7 qualification (or equivalent)
- 20+ years' experience within the construction industry
- A minimum of 5 years' experience operating at Contracts Manager level
- Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving ability
- Confident communicator with solid IT skills
- Proven background in client-facing roles, design coordination, and contract management
