Civils Operative Groundworker

Fraser Edwards are currently working with an engineering construction company providing water treatment works.

Due to continued growth, our client is recruiting for an experienced Civils Operative Groundworker for a long term contract role.

The Job:

Works will be undertaken on a water treatment site.

• Carry out groundworks including excavation, ducting, and drainage installation.
• Lay and backfill pipework for water and wastewater systems.
• Install concrete foundations, slabs, and chambers to specification.
• Assist with formwork, shuttering, and reinforcement for structures.
• Support installation of tanks, kiosks, and mechanical equipment bases.
• Operate small plant and tools (e.g., whacker plates, breakers, saws) safely.
• Work in line with site RAMS, permits, and environmental controls.
• Maintain a clean, safe working area and follow site health and safety procedures.
• Assist trades and machine operators as required.
• Report hazards, near misses, and defects promptly to the site supervisor.

Candidate Requirements:

• Full UK Driver s Licence
• Able to work to deadlines while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
• Good communication and customer service skills
