Job Description

Maintenance Technician

We're seeking a proactive, skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. You'll be responsible for repairs and preventative maintenance of buildings at various locations in the UK.



Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general building maintenance, including repairs to electrical, plumbing, and cladding as needed.
  • Operate suitable plant equipment safely (e.g., cherry picker and/or scissor lift) - IPAF licence mandatory.
  • Liaise with external contractors where necessary.
  • Follow safe systems of work in line with CDM Regulations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.


Schedule

  • 40 hours per week - rota'd shifts between Monday and Friday, 08:00 to 17:30.


Essential Requirements

  • Strong practical skills in electrical (fully qualified), plumbing, cladding, and general building; minor joinery skills would be useful.
  • Experience operating cherry pickers and a valid IPAF licence (training may be provided).
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel.
  • Based in Newport or within a 45-minute drive radius.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.


Desirable Qualifications

  • SMSTS certification.
  • NEBOSH health and safety qualification.
  • IOSH certification.
  • Own set of trade tools (tools can be supplied if needed).
