Permanent Vacancy - Groundworker Office Location - Kirkintilloch Working Monday - Friday 8am - 430pm Salary 31,200 DOE About the Role We are seeking an experienced and reliable Groundworker to support a variety of commercial, industrial and civil engineering projects across Central Scotland. The successful candidate will undertake a broad range of groundworks activities, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Excavation and preparation of sites for construction projects. Installation and maintenance of drainage systems, pipes, gullies and manholes. Kerbing, paving, slabbing and block paving works. Concrete works including foundations, slabs and reinforced structures. Trenching, ducting and backfilling operations. Ground preparation for surfacing and tarmac works. Operation of small plant and machinery where qualified. Adherence to all Health & Safety procedures and site regulations. Candidate Requirements Previous groundworks or civil engineering experience. CSCS Card (essential). Good knowledge of drainage, foundations and paving works. Full UK Driving Licence preferred. Manufacturing moulds and stair stringers in line with issued drawings and specifications. Setting up, positioning, and securing form work within manufacturing facilities. Ensuring all form work dimensions, levels, and alignments are accurate and comply with design requirements. Installing and maintaining support systems, including braces and props, to ensure form work stability and prevent movement during concrete placement. Assisting with the accurate placement, pouring, and compaction of concrete. Working with a variety of materials and form work systems to meet specific project requirements. Adhering to all company health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment. Undertaking any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
