Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Assistant Project Manager to join a growing construction and demolition organisation operating nationally across earthworks, civils, plant, aggregates and complex technical projects.

This role is ideal for someone looking to develop into a full Project Manager position, gaining exposure to programming, reporting, planning, site coordination and client liaison. You will work closely with senior project managers on a wide variety of challenging projects, including major demolition works, earthmoving and civils packages.

Key Responsibilities

Project Support

  • Assist Project Managers in planning, programming and coordinating works.

  • Support the production of progress reports, schedules and documentation.

  • Help track project performance, identifying delays, risks and opportunities.

Site Coordination

  • Support site teams with logistics, health & safety compliance and daily coordination.

  • Gather site information to feed into project reviews and planning.

  • Liaise with supervisors, subcontractors and engineers to ensure smooth delivery.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Assist with maintaining accurate project records, reports and quality documentation.

  • Support adherence to H&S, environmental and industry standards.

  • Contribute to audits, inspections and compliance checks when required.

Communication & Stakeholder Liaison

  • Help maintain clear communication between project teams, clients and internal departments.

  • Support client meetings, briefings and progress updates.

  • Work collaboratively across commercial, technical and operational teams.

Professional Development

  • Gain exposure to full lifecycle project management including planning, cost control, procurement and handover.

  • Take part in training and development to progress into a Project Manager role.
