Head of Technical FM Services

We are currently working with a leading UK Facilities Service provider to recruit a Head of Technical Services, to cover an Education portfolio in the East and South East London areas

The role will be split between site, office in East London, and home working

The Role:

As part of the senior management team with technical services P&L budgetary responsibility. To develop, lead and provide legislative and mandatory compliance strategy, structure (including process), guidance and support to the operational engineering management in a standardised, efficient and safe manner.

Ensuring source specialist services where applicable to ensure that the business are able to deliver consistent safe services within contractual and financial parameters. The main services to be covered are FM building and fabric engineering services with direct interface supporting other related areas of the FM business such as Lifecycle and Variation works.

Responsibility for statutory compliance, supplier management, Defect management, compliance to contractual asset(s) hand back criteria and compliance to CDM. SFG20, HTMs, British Standards

Candidate requirements:

• Demonstrable evidence of working in a similar environment and level with results
• Hard FM management experience
• Up to date knowledge on regulatory and legal compliance requirements including CDM. SFG20, HTMs, British Standards
• Recognised Health & Safety Qualification (IOSH) & CIWFM
• Strong knowledge of managing lifecycle, PMO, building defects
• Experience of audit and compliance work within the relevant building services
• Ideally experience on PFI or public sector contracts
