MIG Welder Fabricator - Mansfield (NG20) - Temp-Perm

Salary: 30,000 - 33,000 (Based on experience and weld test quality)
Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:15am - 4:30pm Friday 7:15am - 4:00pm (45-minute break)

Barker Ross is currently recruiting for experienced MIG Welder Fabricators to join a well-established, heavy industrial engineering company based in Mansfield (NG20).



The Role:

You will be responsible for fabricating and welding heavy industrial components, working with thick plate materials and performing high-quality MIG welds to specification.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG welding on a range of steel fabrications (up to 30mm plate)

  • Carry out multi-run, T-fillet, and butt welds to a high standard

  • Work from engineering drawings to fabricate and assemble structures

  • Complete a welders qualification/test as part of the onboarding process

  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment



Requirements:

  • Proven background in heavy industrial MIG welding and fabrication

  • Ability to complete multi-run and butt welds on thick plate

  • Competent in reading and working from detailed engineering drawings

  • Must live within 1 hour travel of Mansfield (NG20)
