Carpenter for perm position in london
Main purpose of role:
The Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Plumber must have formal qualifications and a strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
Carpentry Work:

- Complete a wide range of carpentry tasks, including fitting doors, repairing or replacing floorboards, skirting, architraves, and kitchen units.
- Install and repair fixtures and fittings such as locks, hinges, handles, and other woodwork items.
Repairs & Maintenance:

- Conduct void repairs to ensure properties are ready for re-letting.
- Undertake general property maintenance tasks, such as patch repairs, minor plastering, and basic plumbing if required.
Mould Treatments:

- Assist in the treatment of mould issues using specialist products and techniques, ensuring properties meet required standards.
Retrofits:

- Install loft and underfloor insulation.
- Prepare and finish properties after internal wall insulation has been installed.
Collaboration:

- Work both independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
- Liaise with clients, tenants, and colleagues to ensure satisfaction and address concerns professionally.
Compliance:

- Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Complete required paperwork (job sheets, risk assessments, etc.) accurately and on time.
- Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within void property repairs and maintenance.
- NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or an equivalent qualification.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-quality finishes, problem-solving skills, and effective communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexibly.
- Basic health and safety awareness.
- Ability to ensure that Waltham Forest services Ltd Health & Safety, Customer Care and Communications policies are understood and applied as appropriate for this job level.
- Able to work as part of a 7-day Rota including out of hours.
- Able to take part in an out of hours on call Rota.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Must hold a valid UK driving license.
