Outreach Worker

Join a dedicated team as an Outreach Worker in Basingstoke. This role is crucial for those with a deep understanding of the root causes of homelessness and social exclusion, aiming to make a significant positive impact in the community.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Identify and build relationships with individuals who are rough sleeping within the local area.
- Participate in outreach sessions and make regular visits to agencies and venues frequented by people who are rough sleeping.
- Provide clients with advice and information to offer an enabling service that supports their needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring all interactions are documented promptly and accurately.
- Participate in an outreach rota which includes early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Engage in an on-call, out-of-hours rota to provide support as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle
- Strong understanding of the root causes of homelessness and social exclusion.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in maintaining accurate records and handling confidential information.
