Outreach Worker

  • Annual Salary: 25,235 per annum
  • Location: Basingstoke (out on patch)
  • Job Type: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Join a dedicated team as an Outreach Worker in Basingstoke. This role is crucial for those with a deep understanding of the root causes of homelessness and social exclusion, aiming to make a significant positive impact in the community.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Identify and build relationships with individuals who are rough sleeping within the local area.
  • Participate in outreach sessions and make regular visits to agencies and venues frequented by people who are rough sleeping.
  • Provide clients with advice and information to offer an enabling service that supports their needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring all interactions are documented promptly and accurately.
  • Participate in an outreach rota which includes early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Engage in an on-call, out-of-hours rota to provide support as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Strong understanding of the root causes of homelessness and social exclusion.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate records and handling confidential information.
