Job Title: Drainage Groundworker
Location: Kent & Surrounding Areas (within 100-mile radius)
Salary: 34,000 - 36,000 (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, with overtime available
Role Summary:
Hands-on role involving excavation, installation, repair, and maintenance of drainage and surface water drainage systems. Includes reinstatement works such as paving, concreting, tarmacking, and turfing. May support drainage teams on reactive and planned maintenance when groundwork is not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lay and repair drainage systems, including soakaways and sewers
- Install and replace manhole covers, frames, and gullies
- Perform reinstatement: slabs, concrete, tarmac, turf
- Use CAT & Genny for service detection
- Follow health & safety and site procedures
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid CSCS card
- Confined Spaces qualification (preferred)
- Experience in drainage and groundworks
- Physically fit for outdoor manual work
- Small digger or trailer licence (advantageous; training available)
- Able to work as part of a team and independently
