Electrician (Local Authority)

Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Electrician to work with Bury Council on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week (Mon Fri).

The incoming candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of electrical works, including repairs, installation work, and electrical testing across various properties. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work to a high standard of safety and compliance.

Main Duties:

• Carry out electrical repairs, installations, and maintenance across residential and commercial properties
• Undertake electrical inspection and testing in line with current regulations
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and effectively
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety standards and electrical regulations
• Maintain accurate records of all work carried out and materials used
• Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned jobs within agreed timeframes

Essential Criteria:

• Full UK driving licence
• Time-served electrical installation apprenticeship
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the electrical industry, ideally wihtin a Public Sector entity
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation certificate or equivalent
• AM2 qualification
• BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulations 18th Edition certificate
• City & Guilds 2391 Full Inspection & Testing certificate
