This is a key role within the school, ensuring the site is safe, secure, and well maintained throughout the year. Reporting to the Head Teacher and the Group Health, Safety and Estates Team, the post holder will be responsible for a wide range of duties connected with the upkeep of the fabric and grounds of the site together with supporting the daily operational needs of the school. Caretaker / Maintenance Operative Location: Oldham Monday to Friday Early & Late Shifts (6am early shift start time & 8pm Late shift finish time) Salary up to £13.50ph Temp with possibility of Perm An established Leading facilities maintenance company are looking for a Caretaker to join their team. Please note that the successful candidate will require a level of clearance due to the type of site. Main Responsibilities for the role include: Keyholder duties Carry out routine maintenance & PPM checks (fire alarms etc) Carry out minor decorating tasks Minor plumbing & electrical tasks (changing lightbulbs, unblocking drains etc) Carry out routine inspections of premises Liaise with cleaning team and assist when required Ensuring H&S is always being adhered to Organise & maintain storage and supplies including deliveries Ensure urgent jobs are responded to as quickly as possible Follow and ensure H&S is always followed For this role, you must have evidence of the right to work in the UK.
