JOB PROFILE - Duties and responsibilities of the position will include but not limited to the following; 1. Participate in tender handover from estimating department. 2. Ensure adequate LOI or PO in place. 3. Produce buying schedule in conjunction with PM. 4. Procure Sub Contract packages, approve sub contract orders ensuring compliance with specification, drawings and employers requirements. 5. Produce project cash flow forecast 6. Prepare and submit client applications accurately and in a timely manner 7. Manage subcontract applications and ensure work packages are valued correctly and on time. 8. Manage project correspondence and meeting attendance 9. Ensure monthly applications are certified on time and invoiced as appropriate. 10. Manage and agree subcontract instructions and variations 11. Submit and agree client variations and manage change request process. 12. Prepare, submit and agree the client final account 13. Conclude subcontract accounts 14. Preparation of monthly cost to compete reports (CTC’s) accurately and on time. 15. Financial administration of Focal Point ensuring project status is accurate 16. Participate in Team meetings and liaise with PM 17. Carry out and assist PM with Value Engineering as appropriate 18. Liaise with senior staff or line manager in respect of claims for acceleration, prolongation and EOT requests 19. Read, understand and implement the Company Health and Safety Policy and QA at all times PERSON PROFILE - These are the initial selection criteria EDUCATION • A good all round standard of education including literacy and numeracy • IT skills PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS • Degree qualified in an RICS approved QS course PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE • Three years’ experience in a commercial or QS role PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES • Good communication and organisational skills • Ability to remain calm and focused • Accuracy and quality in reports and documents • Professional conduct when representing the business TRAINING REQUIRED • Client Information Channel • Client Invoice Channel • Communication ∙Contracts • Estimation • Excel Advanced • Focal Point • IT Skills • Mechanical/Electrical Awareness • Negotiation • Word Intermediate CORE COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS - These are the essential operational and technical skills required for effective fulfilment of the role. They may be industry or company-specific, and training will be provided as necessary.
