Building Surveyor

We are currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor to join a Multi-disciplinary consultancy practice with a client-focussed approach to delivering building projects based near Twickenham. This position is due to continued growth and ideally the candidate will be available as soon as possible. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role and will be looking for a long-term opportunity. The candidate will need to be living within commuting distance of Teddington with a willingness to travel to sites when required. This individual will be supporting Director / Team Leader in the delivery of building surveying commissions, supporting wider team in the delivery of building surveying commissions, Developing Technical knowledge to be able to give guidance to others across a variety of sectors. Will consider a candidate who has just passed their APC. Building Surveyor Position Overview Managing internal team resources to deliver projects Managing client relationships and supporting Team Leader in delivering and securing work Collating and organising technical building information from designers / team leader Coordinating detailed design information Preparing specifications for construction work (NBS Chorus) Managing others in preparing designs using CAD software Obtaining tenders for construction work Preparing applications for approval by regulatory bodies Chairing and contributing to meetings and document preparation Visiting sites to check progress and inspect work and administrating contracts Party Wall Matters, including issuing notices, schedules of condition, party wall awardsBuilding Surveyor Position Requirements Ideally MRICS status or just completed APC Aspiration and drive to develop career to manage team delivery and client relationships Full Clean Driving Licence Ability to work under own initiative and within a team setting Willing to travel by car and / or public transport in support of day-to-day work AutoCAD / Vectorworks Design Software JCT suite of contracts The Building Regulations 2010 and subsequent updates / amendments The Town and Country Planning General Regulations 1992 The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015Building Surveyor Position Remuneration Competitive salary (D.O.E) £40,000 - £50,000 Car allowance 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays Contributory pension scheme Health InsuranceBennett & Game Recruitment are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
