Job Description

Our client is seeking a fire door installer or carpenter (with the willingness to learn the fire door trade) on a permanent basis and covering East Anglia. Van and fuel card are provided, this is a full time - permanent position. You will be working for one of the UKs largest property maintenance and fire protection contractors with a very reputable background. Compliance is key in their industry & although they are seeking qualified & competent fire door fitters & repair teams, they would provide all of the necessary training to obtain certification through a Third Party Accreditor, GNVQs and indeed progression throughout both the industry and company. Key Responsibilities: · To work to approved installation guides and techniques undertaking Fire Door / Doorset installations and undertaking remedial works to existing doors. · Ability to interpret and adhere to the manufacturer’s specifications, ensuring that compliance is always at the forefront of all works. · Working either individually or as part of a team where management and technicians work close together to solve problems. · Be able to communicate effectively and courteously with work colleagues and of course customers · To understand the importance of compliant installation within the fire safety sector Knowledge / Experience: · GNVQ or equivalent in Carpentry or Joinery or be able to demonstrate previous experience undertaking this type of work · FIRAS / BM TRADA / IFC accredited would be an advantage although this could be provided by Bell Group Experience: Carpentry or Joinery: 2 years (required) Working days - Monday - Friday. 8-5pm with 30 minutes lunch. Uniform and PDA provided. Pay £17 - £19 per hour dependant on experience Possibility of earning up to £1,000 if you choose a price work payment.
