Senior Planner

Linear are currently looking for a Senior Planner for a temporary ongoing position. Job purpose * Responsible for the contract programmes for design and construct projects, from initial compilation at tender to update and progress during construction to Completion. * Review contract documents, specifications, scope and test schedules. * Develop initial tender and contract programmes, sequence of work and construction methodologies. * Plan project work and identify resource requirements (labour, plant, materials and S/Cs). * Produce or advise on short term working programmes for construction teams. * Monitor progress and productivity and report to team. * Identify and assess programme risks and produce mitigation plans with project team. * Produce monthly progress reports for client and internal issue. * Identify alternative methodologies / sequences to improve project completion date. * Liaise with designers, subcontractors, clients and third parties e.g. licensing authorities. * Produce records, progress reports and project related documents and communicate with all levels of staff regarding progress and project issues. * Directly supervises Assistant Planner/Planner. Knowledge skills & experience * Relevant construction training. * Specialist planning training. * Preferably degree qualified in a construction related subject. * Proven experience from construction background demonstrating progress to Senior Planner through career development with both theoretical and practical experience. * Ideally will have previously held a similar position with a medium to major size Civil Engineering Contractor. * Experience of Asta software * Experience of Primerva software. * Highways experience highly desirable For more information or to apply please contact Grant Patterson on (phone number removed) or by clicking Apply to send an up to date CV
