An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fitter to work within the Marine Aggregate team based at Shoreham Wharf near Brighton on the South coast between Brighton and Southampton. They will specifically focus on fixed plant maintenance on marine aggregate processing plants. All applicants must be health and safety focused and be very self motivated. We would expect the successful candidate to be an experienced fitter and be a competent welder fabricator. Tasks will include general maintenance, installing bearings on conveyors, pipe work fabricating and installation etc. The candidate will also have the ability to find solutions to maintenance issues and complete preventive maintenance inspections across all parts of the aggregate processing plant. We would anticipate the successful candidate to have the necessary competencies to carry out the tasks required, These competencies would include but not limited to; working at heights, lifting and slinging, hot works including welding, EWP & MEWP tickets. Mobile plant operators licence for a Loading shovel and appointed person certification would also be an advantage.
