An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly driven, competent individual to work with the team at Southampton Wharf to reach exceptional standards and targets set. They will specifically focus on Safety and Health, Production and Sales, Maintenance and Improvement We would expect the successful candidate to have a solid knowledge of sand and gravel extraction and processing, the dangers and hazards it brings and a safe understanding of how to work with within a team through these processes day to day. Experience with Tarmac's Risk assessment and SSOW process (HIRA) and Permit system would be an advantage but training can be given. They would be an effective member of the wharf team and engage with our company's policies, targets, goals and standards. Operation and maintenance the processing plant and management of the S&H systems. Also assisting with out of hours ship Rota for dredgers delivering materials for process. We would also anticipate the successful candidate to have training and qualifications at a minimum SHE Level 2, mobile plant licences along with basic maintenance fitting experience All applicants will be required to provide evidence that they have the right to live and work in the UK, as per the UK Illegal Working Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 at the interview stage. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Unit Manager to work with the site production team to deliver optimum productivity and performance at asphalt plants in London. The Unit Manager is responsible for the day to day running of the plant including; legislative compliance, health and safety compliance, ordering of materials and equipment whilst following the order process, production targets, production costing, strategic planning, cross-functional working with the commercial and technical teams, communication with both direct reports and Area Operations Manager, ensuring sufficient resource is available on site to run the site safely, efficiently and profitably. The UM is also required to travel to other sites to carry out audits, inspections, Peer Reviews and to attend meetings and seminars. We would expect the successful candidate to have previous management experience, including management of staff and contractors; a sound technical grasp of all aspects of asphalt plant operations is essential; a record of delivering excellence in safety, health and environmental standards in a similar environment. They would be working towards or hold a SHE NVQ Level 4 or equivalent. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fitter to work within the Marine Aggregate team based at Shoreham Wharf near Brighton on the South coast between Brighton and Southampton. They will specifically focus on fixed plant maintenance on marine aggregate processing plants. All applicants must be health and safety focused and be very self motivated. We would expect the successful candidate to be an experienced fitter and be a competent welder fabricator. Tasks will include general maintenance, installing bearings on conveyors, pipe work fabricating and installation etc. The candidate will also have the ability to find solutions to maintenance issues and complete preventive maintenance inspections across all parts of the aggregate processing plant. We would anticipate the successful candidate to have the necessary competencies to carry out the tasks required, These competencies would include but not limited to; working at heights, lifting and slinging, hot works including welding, EWP & MEWP tickets. Mobile plant operators licence for a Loading shovel and appointed person certification would also be an advantage.
