Role Overview You will be responsible for window and glazing installations, repairs, and reactive maintenance across social housing properties within Portsmouth, sometimes further a field. The role requires a strong all-round Glazier / Window Fitter who can confidently carry out works from start to finish, including installations, replacements, adjustments, and repairs, maintenance. Key Responsibilities Installation of UPVC, aluminium, and timber windows and doors Removal and replacement of double-glazed units Window and door frame installations Glazing repairs and replacements in occupied and void properties Reactive glazing maintenance and emergency repairs Glass replacement for windows, doors, and panels Sealed unit replacements and adjustments Window and door hardware replacements (handles, hinges, locks, restrictors) Realignment and adjustment of doors and windows Fault finding and diagnosing glazing issues Resealing and weatherproofing windows and frames Installation and replacement of window beading, trims, and seals Boarding up broken windows and securing properties when required Making good after installations and repairs Requirements Proven experience as a Glazier / Window Fitter Strong experience across all aspects of glazing and window fitting Ability to complete full installations independently Full, clean UK driving licence Hard-working, reliable, and professional Social housing experience advantageous (but not essential) Must be able to provide two recent references Ideally located within or close to the Portsmouth PO6 area Experience with reactive glazing maintenance and repairs
