Our client is looking for a Highways Supervisor for their project on a temp to perm basis. The ideal candidate will have a background in Traffic Management, Term Maintenance and civils based highways contracts for Highways England. You will be looking after aspects of projects based in the East Anglia region and reporting to the regional office in Chelmsford. So ideally you will be located around the Ipwsich region. You will also be looking after the workforce ensuring that works is carried out to a high standard to the client’s satisfaction. You must have experience in the following: * To adequately supervise the labour workforce, including sub-contractors, planning and ordering of plant and materials to ensure timely delivery. * Maintain accurate records of site activities in the form of daily allocation sheets, including photos and site measurements. Ensure all required daily and weekly record sheets are accurately completed and submitted promptly. * Collate relevant information to assist with the production of as-built records, * To effectively and accurately pass on instructions to the workforce, keeping a record of progress and any amendments to the work. * To actively foster a positive employee morale. * To willingly carry out any reasonable task as requested by a member Site Management Skills * Strong communication skills. * Skilled at managing & motivating construction operatives, * Commitment to partnering. * Commitment to high quality service. * Good understanding of Quality Assurance.
