V-Recruit are currently working alongside a reputable and longstanding Landscaping and Grounds Maintenance contractor to recruit an experienced Commercial Landscape Supervisor, to work within the Landscaping teams on projects mainly around Yorkshire. Our client undertakes all aspects of commercial and domestic landscaping in and around Yorkshire, including hard and soft landscaping, tree surgery, grounds maintenance and fence erecting. We are looking for an experienced soft landscaping supervisor with commercial experience. Your duties would include working on site on the tools, whilst managing a team of three to four Operatives on various commercial projects. Completing all aspects of turfing, seeding, planting shrubs, flower beds, trees etc. Occasionally managing larger teams of up to a dozen Operatives in busy periods throughout the summer. You will be required to follow risk assessments and method statements to ensure safe, efficient working. 14.50 per hour This is a temp to perm/perm opportunity for the right candidate Working hours are 7.45am - 4.30pm (Friday 3.30pm finish) 39 hours paid per week Key Responsibilities Supervise and lead landscaping teams on commercial contracts and project sites Enforce health & safety procedures, including site inspections and toolbox talks Ensure safe operation and maintenance of plant, tools, and equipment Plan daily tasks in line with schedules and drawings Ensure all work meets contract specifications, drawings, and quality standards Monitor productivity and ensure efficient use of labour, materials, and machinery to complete works within budget Liaise with and report to site and contract managers Complete site documentation including daily reports, timesheets, and RAMS adjustments if required on site The right candidates will have their CSCS card and a full UK driving licence with access to their own transport due to remote yard location and requirement to drive the company vehicles. We are looking for someone with previous soft landscaping experience. PA Spraying Licences, or any other Landscaping-specific qualifications would be advantageous, although not necessarily required. Any plant machinery tickets and SMSTS or SSSTS would also be advantageous. This is a hands-on leadership role and the successful candidate will have previous proven experience working as a supervisor or team leader, with a minimum of 3 years previous experience working in a similar commercial role. There is much scope for progression with this company; there is potential progression into supervisory roles, or scope for Machinery mechanic/fitter roles for those who are mechanically minded and have some existing mechanical skills i.e. repairs and maintenance on landscaping machinery, such as hedge cutters/pedestrian mowers.
