Thrive Oldham are delighted to be working with our client in the Leicestershire area, who are actively looking to recruit a Landscape Operative Monday to Friday 37 hours per week Landscaping or construction site and or operating plant experience we would be interested. Full driving licence preferably although not essential. Any construction experience would be applicable. Key Job Activities To ensure landscaping and grounds maintenance duties are completed to required standards and timescales. To ensure personal compliance with Health and Safety, COSHH and other regulations. To encourage greater use of parks by helping to provide quality features. To ensure the council's standards of customer service are achieved. Undertake construction and development work including hard and soft landscape projects in accordance with client's drawings and specifications. Construct develop and maintain outdoor sports areas including natural and artificial surfaces in accordance with clients drawing and specifications. Ensure all works are carried out within predetermined timescales and cost. Assists in the maintenance and planting of trees and shrubs on highways and open spaces. Assists in the application of chemicals in accordance with the Pesticides Regulations Act. Key Job Outcomes To produce an acceptable standard of workmanship on routine activities. Experience in landscape construction or construction industry. Construction related qualifications such as NVQ 1 City and Guilds desirable Operating Construction machinery. Landscaping skills such as planting shrubs, turf laying, concrete mixing. Use of hand tools for construction Reading site plans and drawings Working as part of a team Full clean driving licence desirable. Job Title: Sports Surface Maintenance Operative (Multiple positions available) Location: Leicester Salary : Up to 30,000 with overtime and bonus. Job Type: Permanent, Full Time Technical Surfaces is a leading installer and maintenance provider of various Sports surfaces in the UK. The Role: Technical Surfaces currently have a number of opportunities for motivated, hardworking candidates to join our team. Our team is expanding, and we require practically minded individuals to carry out our full range of maintenance processes to the highest standard. Planning ahead, time management and an eye for detail are the attributes we are seeking. We cover the whole of the UK with contracts in England working from the respective depots. Staying away overnight from time to time will be required with an average of 2 weeks per month spent working away from home. The Candidate: Experience in Synthetic turf maintenance, Greenkeeping or Landscaping/grounds maintenance is desirable however not essential as full training will be given. Operation of a range of ground maintenance vehicles, filling out site reports, liaising with clients on site, driving company vehicles and working within our Health and Safety policy will be required.
