What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in a handyman, property maintenance, caretaking, facilities, building services, or similar role. Strong practical aptitude with excellent problem-solving and fault-finding abilities. Good all-round knowledge of building maintenance and repair works. Ability to carry out tasks to a high standard with attention to detail and quality workmanship. Reliable, trustworthy, and capable of working independently using their own initiative. Well organised with strong time management and prioritisation skills. Experience working within residential, commercial, or mixed-use property environments. Previous caretaker, facilities management, or property support experience would be advantageous. Competent in a range of basic trades, including plumbing, joinery, decorating, and general repair work. Good understanding of health and safety requirements within property maintenance. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with tenants, contractors, and colleagues.
