A Top 10 Construction Contractor based in Leeds is seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor (Permanent) to work on live projects. The business is multi-disciplinary contractor working in multi Sectors from Education, commercial, residential and health care, all with a value from £2m - £30m.
Responsibilities
* Produce take off's and bill of quantities or verify existing
* Preparation and agreement of interim applications
* Identify and prepare additional items, quotations and claims
* Preparation and negotiation of final accounts
* Preparation of subcontract documents
* Measurement and valuation of sub-contract work
* Preparation and negotiation of sub-contractors' final accounts
* Preparation of cost and value financial reporting and forecasting
* Assist in risk management process
* Provide site management with commercial support and advice
* The commercial management typically of one project
Requirements
* Experience in working on Design and build projects for a mainstream regional contractor
* Working knowledge of NEC / JCT contracts, together with some experience of other standard forms
* Working knowledge of computerised cost capture / value monitoring systems
* Report writing skills
* Must be a team player but also able to work on own initiative
* HNC/HND/Degree in Construction / Quantity Surveying desirable
