Stores Person - up to £20K - Starting ASAP - Cannock Based The purpose of this role is to work closely within a team with a view of actively improving the processes and managements of the company's assets. With in this team there are Rental fleet managers, Post Sales Administrators and Project Managers/Regional construction managers. This role will predominately be based out of the Cannock office with occasional travel to their other offices. To ensure continuous supply of raw materials are available on time to ensure timely completion of the manufacturing operations to make sure the factory's projects can be completed. To always improve the on-time delivery of parts to manufacturing operations, to eliminate stock outs, to establish Economical Order Quantities to reduce the purchase prices and delivery costs. Client overview The client offers space rental solutions throughout 22 countries, including Austria, Belgium, and the United Kingdom. The client serves more than 31,000 customers in the areas of construction and infrastructure, industry, services and administration. Its fleet of approximately 235,000 modular space and storage units is leased through a network of more than 150 locations. The company's legacy is grounded in its reputation for exceptional customer service, effective management of business operations and consistent product innovation. The key responsibilities for this role are: 1. Represent the company in an enthusiastic and positive manner and professionally 2. Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency and minimise risks. 3. Ensure an efficient warehouse operation which is able to fulfil operational and customer demand 4. Create policies and procedures for warehouse activities and ensure all systems meet the standards for accreditation in line with the quality systems 5. Continuously review ways to aid efficiency, add value and reduce costs as well as delivering continuous improvement initiatives. As well as review ways to reduce waste 6. Identify any systems improvements and drive through recommendations for change 7. Ensure that health and safety meet the required standards and that risk assessments are carried out 8. Ensure any hazardous materials are stored in accordance with requirements 9. Establish, monitor and maintain high standards of security in the warehouse by setting security procedures 10. Ensure that vehicles, machinery and equipment are well maintained and fit for purpose. 11. Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures. 12. Identify and plan to flush the warehouse of aging stock 13. Rationalise and the efficient use of warehouse space 14. Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times 15. Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods 16. Drive a zero-tolerance mindset for deviation from the use of quality processes to ensure customer deliverables are met fully 17. Understand customer needs and ensure alignment with the needs/commitments of the business 18. Plan future capacity requirements 19. Keep up to date and respond accordingly to all enquiries 20. Ensure inventories are accurate and control inventory levels by ensuring physical counts are conducted and reconciled with automated system utilising help of the warehouse team 21. Ensure the relevance and accuracy of all documentation relating to goods in and goods out including labelling of all stock items 22. Ensure that any IT and automated systems are accurate and up to date. 23. Ensure efficient and effective use of warehouse space to include layout and future capacity requirements 24. Develop and maintain metrics/KPIs, reports, process documentation, customer service logs and training and safety records 25. Create and implement best practice warehousing principles, policies and processes 26. Ensure that all staff comply to health, safety and environmental regulations and work safely to protect themselves and others in the warehouse. We have depots in five UK locations, and are looking for candidates to cover two regional areas: South/South West England, and North/North West England/Midlands Our Project Managers play a key part in negotiating, planning and delivering high quality installations and removals. Key tasks: To commercially evaluate, plan and execute projects in conjunction with our sales and support teams. To control costs and deliver projects on budget, and on time. To ensure that high quality, defect free buildings are handed over, exceeding customer expectations. To take responsibility for all site health and safety aspects of projects including; pre-contract documentation and meetings, method statements and risk assessments.
