Location: London Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home Sector: Rail & Infrastructure Rate: £500 - £600 PAYE This is an opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support a major rail infrastructure project in London. The role will focus on commercial management, cost control, contract administration, and supporting the successful delivery of complex civil engineering works. Key Responsibilities Manage commercial activities in line with contract requirements and project objectives Prepare and assess applications, valuations, payment certificates, and cost/value reconciliations Support cost forecasting, cost control, monthly reporting, and cash flow management Manage contractual notices, correspondence, and commercial records Identify and support the management of commercial risks Provide contract administration support and contractual advice to project teams Prepare supply chain enquiries, negotiate subcontract packages, and support contract close-out Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and project stakeholders Maintain accurate commercial records and project documentation Experience Required Quantity Surveying experience within rail, infrastructure, construction, or civil engineering projects Strong background in commercial management and cost control Experience managing valuations, payments, contracts, and project reporting Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent relevant industry experience Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes Right to work in the UK Desirable Experience NEC contract experience Major infrastructure project experience Rail, tunnelling, or heavy civils background Experience with Power BI or commercial reporting systems Project Experience The project involves complex infrastructure works, including tunnelling, underground structures, utilities, earthworks, and civil engineering packages. Experience working on similar large-scale projects would be beneficial. Candidates must be able to work from Euston, North Acton, or West Ruislip locations on a hybrid basis (3 days office / 2 days home).
