We are looking for a motivated and organised Commercial Assistant to join a growing construction business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience working within the construction industry, ideally on commercial projects, who is looking to develop their skills and build a long-term career within a progressive business. You will work closely with our commercial and project teams, providing essential administrative and commercial support across a range of exciting construction projects. This role would suit someone who is commercially minded, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to take the next step in their career. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day administrative support to the commercial team. Assist with the preparation and management of project documentation. Support the commercial team with purchase orders, subcontractor documentation and valuations. Assist with tracking costs, variations, invoices and project expenditure. Maintain accurate commercial records and filing systems. Assist with subcontractor and supplier correspondence. Support the preparation of reports, spreadsheets and commercial information. Liaise with project managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, suppliers and clients. Help ensure commercial processes and procedures are followed. Provide general support to the wider project and commercial teams as required. About You We are looking for someone who has: Previous experience in a construction administration or commercial role. Experience working on commercial construction projects. Excellent organisational and administration skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn. A genuine interest in developing a career within the commercial side of construction. You may currently be working as a Commercial Administrator, Project Administrator, Construction Administrator or Assistant Quantity Surveyor and be looking for a role where you can develop your experience and progress into a more senior commercial position. Electrical Construction Manager Norfolk / Cambridgeshire with future Suffolk projects Circa £70,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Construction Manager to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor , working across a strong pipeline of technically demanding projects throughout Norfolk and Cambridgeshire , with potential future projects in Suffolk. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the electrical construction delivery of major laboratory, healthcare and technically complex building projects , working alongside experienced project and commercial teams to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. The Role The Electrical Construction Manager will oversee the day-to-day electrical construction activities on site, coordinating subcontractors, site teams and project stakeholders from mobilisation through to completion. Key responsibilities will include: Managing the delivery of electrical installations across major laboratory and healthcare projects. Coordinating electrical subcontractors and specialist contractors on site. Planning and sequencing works to ensure programmes are achieved. Working closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, design teams and the wider construction team. Monitoring progress, quality, workmanship and compliance with project specifications. Reviewing drawings, technical information and installation requirements. Supporting the coordination of MEP services and resolving site-based technical issues. Ensuring all electrical works are delivered in accordance with relevant standards, regulations and project requirements. Maintaining a strong focus on health, safety and environmental requirements. Attending progress meetings and providing updates on electrical construction activities. Managing resources, labour and materials to support efficient project delivery. Supporting commissioning, testing and handover through to project completion. About You The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical construction management , ideally gained within a main contractor, MEP contractor or specialist building services environment. Experience working on healthcare, laboratories, life sciences, pharmaceutical, data centre or other technically complex projects would be highly advantageous. Candidates should have: Proven experience managing electrical construction activities on sizeable projects. Strong understanding of commercial building services and electrical installations. Experience coordinating subcontractors and site-based electrical teams. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation. Strong communication and organisational skills. A proactive approach to managing programme, quality and safety. Relevant electrical qualifications and site management credentials. Location & Eligibility The role will suit candidates already based within a reasonable travelling distance of Norfolk or Cambridgeshire , or those who are genuinely willing to travel to projects across the region. Commercial Lead We have an exciting opportunity to work with an established international General Contractor working on exciting Data centre and infrastructure projects with high profile clients, working and travelling across Europe in countries such as, UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, and Austria, Finland. This role with offer great client exposure, fast track progression opportunities, the ability to run and manage your own projects with the potential to have multiple projects under your control. About the role of Commercial Lead You will be managing various other contractors beneath you, ensuring project operations run smoothly while managing upstream communication to the clients. There is a high level of detailed reporting required and you must be able to create cost + plans for clients, substantiate any financial plans, adhere to health and safety standards managing your own cost reports, and any and all applications while working on FSA contracts. A CL you will manage projects with values of 15 - 20 million, managing subcontractors and packages independently, on a variety of projects vary but a majority will be groundworks and footpath based for datacentres. A Commercial Lead will be expected to travel across Europe to multiple sites within their first two months of employment, then after you have settled into the role you can operate 1 week in the UK, and 1 week in Europe as a cycle. You must be ready and prepared to spend sustained periods overseas when required, up to one month or more at a time.
