Commercial Assistant

We are looking for a motivated and organised Commercial Assistant to join a growing construction business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience working within the construction industry, ideally on commercial projects, who is looking to develop their skills and build a long-term career within a progressive business.

You will work closely with our commercial and project teams, providing essential administrative and commercial support across a range of exciting construction projects. This role would suit someone who is commercially minded, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is keen to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the commercial team.
• Assist with the preparation and management of project documentation.
• Support the commercial team with purchase orders, subcontractor documentation and valuations.
• Assist with tracking costs, variations, invoices and project expenditure.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and filing systems.
• Assist with subcontractor and supplier correspondence.
• Support the preparation of reports, spreadsheets and commercial information.
• Liaise with project managers, quantity surveyors, subcontractors, suppliers and clients.
• Help ensure commercial processes and procedures are followed.
• Provide general support to the wider project and commercial teams as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience in a construction administration or commercial role.
• Experience working on commercial construction projects.
• Excellent organisational and administration skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and work to deadlines.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• A genuine interest in developing a career within the commercial side of construction.

You may currently be working as a Commercial Administrator, Project Administrator, Construction Administrator or Assistant Quantity Surveyor and be looking for a role where you can develop your experience and progress into a more senior commercial position.
